This shore-based bluefish rod features a detachable grip system and a highly durable blank.
The 98IV is compatible with PE 4 and 5, the rods most sought-after by shore-based bluefish anglers.
Prioritizing casting performance and high repulsion during a fight, the blank is primarily made of medium-elasticity 24t carbon, with portions reinforced with low-elasticity 15t carbon.
The blank is powerful enough to regularly use a 10kg drag at a 45-degree angle, but is also designed for high-load fights at a 90-degree angle.
As part of its strength testing, the blank has been proven to withstand the pull-up and drag-up required for shore-based bluefish fishing, with over 30 large yellowfin tuna weighing up to 58kg caught offshore.
Best used with 30g–100g topwaters, minnows, and sinking plugs, and metal jigs up to 180g.
